Yelizaveta’s Tango Banter: If you enjoy my blogs, you’ll likely enjoy her podcasts

I happened across a link to one of Yelizaveta’s podcasts on a tango forum, and was instantly hooked. Anyone who reads my blog clearly enjoys the ramblings of people who over-think all things tango, so I suspect you’ll like her too. (If you’re a leader, don’t feel under fire – she has one about followers too!).

  1. Valid points. Ever since EVM’s Yelizaveta has offered us great ‘talking points’.

I’m waiting to read the contra-post so that I might focus on my own dance.

I know there are Leaders I would like to dance with who turn down my mirada, so I would really value their feedback about the quality of my dance and why it isn’t good for them, or is it perhaps a personality clash? It would be naive to think that everyone likes us. In some cases, I have to be honest, I think it is more to do with the influence of the wife; she doesn’t like me so she determines that her husband will not be allowed to dance with me. Yes, this is a thing, I assure you.

Readers, don’t be shocked by the previous statement, in Tango as in life we can’t possibly ‘get along’ with everyone because our bio-energies are all different. You know that feeling when the Tanda turns out to be superb, you’ve danced your best dance ever and it appears the world stopped on it’s axis for the length of the Tanda. It’s because your bio-energies were synchronised absolutely perfectly: you were as one. So the opposite is possible, your bio-energies can repel, and dancing together is very uncomfortable, so when we recognise this we reject any future invitations. And, in life it is the same, when we meet someone for the first time we sense that we really like the person or conversely we dislike them, and we decide this within minutes of meeting them, like attracting and opposing magnetic forces.

I’m constantly working on refining my dance with my teacher’s help so I truly value input from people I may have danced with in the past. If any of those are reading this post I offer a means of contacting me, like Yelizaveta suggests, in order to ‘gently’ suggest where the work might be focussed. Use this alias address without the brackets, it will be open for a short period: [carorhea_griff.5c1vy@8shield.net]. I’m looking forward to hearing from you. x R
